What to expect:

the tattoo with take approximately 2-4 weeks to heal. It will be tender for the first few days, it will develop a light scab and may appear crusty, and THIS IS NORMAL. These scabs and crusts will flake off on their own. Do not pick or scratch them, it will damage your tattoo and trust me we know the difference. During the flaking period, the tattoo may look pale and uneven in color, this is also NORMAL and part of the healing process. When all the scabs are gone the skin will have a tight shiny surface, this is the final stage of the healing process. The skin will return to its normal appearance over time.

Potential complications:

Due to the time it takes to heal your tattoo, there is a risk of infection. Good hygiene can prevent most infection from occurring. Infections are rare, but not unheard of and may require a doctors care to correct. Some people develop a rash as a result of ointments and lotions used during healing. Detailed aftercare and oral instructions will be provided to help prevent problems. Another possible complication is an allergic reaction or sensitivity to as particular pigment used in the tattoo procedure. Many things, including exposure to heat or sun during the healing process, can bring this on. This is relatively rare. Any allergies or reactions you have had in your past should have been noted by your on your release and consent form prior to your procedure
